World Conference Center Bonn.

The World Conference Center (WCCB) is a convention center in the federal district of Bonn, close to the Rhine. In May 2012, the City of Bonn had regained ownership of the plot of the World Conference Centers.

The building complex of WCCB includes parts of the Parliament Building; among other things, the new plenary hall of the German Bundestag. Another component is an in 2015 completed extension as well as a convention center and a 17-storey hotel. With the participation of the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, the opening of the new building took place on June 7, 2015. The extension provides, in its function as a general purpose hall, space for concerts, various exhibitions and sports events as well as meetings and conventions.

The roof and the exterior facades form a network of individual glass elements that capture daylight in the buildings in an impressive manner. The meeting and convention halls extend widely over the various floors.

The elegant simplicity of the building is reflected in the sanitary areas. The choice here fell to the toilet partition type SVF30 JUMP made by Schäfer. Using recessed feet and a recessed head profile, a floating impression is created. The wall connections of the toilet partitions SVF30 JUMP are done by shadow joints so that a smooth, flush-front is created which ensures a harmonious overall concept in the sanitary sector.
