The size of a toilet cubicle depends on various factors. The area of application and applicable standards are the primary deciding factors. In existing buildings, the   available space plays a decisive role in the planning process. The frequency of use of the sanitary facilities and the provision of toilet cubicles with integrated changing areas or for people with disabilities must also be taken into account when planning the size of the toilet cubicle.

The following standard dimensions are recommended in Germany for public or commercial sanitary facilities:

• Minimum height of toilet cubicle: 190 cm
• Minimum width of toilet cubicle: 85 cm
• Minimum area of toilet cubicle: ca. 1,25 m²
• Depth of movement in front of the toilet cubicle: mindestens 75 cm
• Other dimensions: 100 × 110 cm 

Barrier-free toilet cubicles in accordance with DIN 18040

• Minimum dimension: 1,50 × 1,50 m (for wheelchair users)
• Door width: min. 90 cm, outward opening
• Grab bars: on both sides next to the toilet
• Turning circle: sufficient space for a wheelchair to turn (minimum diameter of 1.50 m)

Yes. Schäfer Trennwandsysteme offers child-friendly partitions with reduced height, rounded edges, and colorful designs. These partitions have been tested and certified by TÜV Nord and comply with the requirements of the Product Safety Act (ProdSG) § 21, registration no. 44 329 14148803. Toilet partitions made from solid HPL core panels are perfect for dry rooms and wet areas such as swimming pools, thermal baths, and spas. But also for campsites and schools. Solid core HPL panels are completely waterproof. Toilet partitions made of chipboard composite panels are ideal for installation in dry rooms such as office buildings, commercial buildings, doctors' offices, sports centers, etc.

Once we receive your request, we will prepare a customized quote tailored to your requirements. Once you place your order, one of our factory representatives operating throughout Germany will contact you to take measurements on site. We will then prepare a technical drawing of the toilet partition system. Once you approve the drawing, we will start production. Installation will then be carried out by our specialist staff or by your own specialists.
