Our toilet partitions and partition systems are made from high-quality, durable and easy-care materials such as glass (ESG/VSG), HPL (high-pressure laminate) or wood-based panels. This enables us to perfectly equip both dry and wet rooms.

How big should a toilet cubicle be? What are the minimum dimensions for a toilet cubicle?

Accepted Answer

The size of a toilet cubicle depends on various factors. The area of application and applicable standards are the primary deciding factors. In existing buildings, the   available space plays a decisive role in the planning process. The frequency of use of the sanitary facilities and the provision of toilet cubicles with integrated changing areas or for people with disabilities must also be taken into account when planning the size of the toilet cubicle. The following standard dimensions are recommended in Germany for public or commercial sanitary facilities:  Minimum height of toilet cubicle: 190 cm Minimum width of toilet cubicle: 85 cm Minimum area of toilet cubicle: ca. 1,25 m² Depth of movement in front of the toilet cubicle: mindestens 75 cm Other dimensions: 100 × 110 cm     Barrier-free toilet cubicles in accordance with DIN 18040  Minimum dimension: 1,50 × 1,50 m (for wheelchair users) Door width: min. 90 cm, outward opening Grab bars: on both sides next to the toilet Turning circle: sufficient space for a wheelchair to turn (minimum diameter of 1.50 m)

All floor-to-ceiling WC partitions from Schäfer are designated with the name ALTUS. These sanitary cubicles are closed from floor to ceiling, thereby providing maximum privacy for users.

Glass not only creates a special, high-quality ambience, it is also ideal for creating robust, durable, and vandal-proof structures. Its exceptionally high scratch resistance speaks for itself. Stains from ballpoint pens, felt-tip pens, or spray paint are easy to remove. The good impression and exclusivity are maintained in the long term and there are no costs for costly repairs and special cleaning. With TÜV-certified quality, you are also on the safe side. We only use single-pane safety glass (ESG-H) and laminated safety glass (VSG).

Which toilet partitions are waterproof? Which partition systems are waterproof?

Accepted Answer

The VK13, EF-3, VENTO, VTIRUM III and VITRUM II system types are completely waterproof and therefore perfectly suited for use in wet areas such as swimming pools, spas in hotels, or campsites.

What is the difference between HPL and chipboard composite panels?

Accepted Answer

Toilet partitions made from solid HPL core panels are perfect for dry rooms and wet areas such as swimming pools, thermal baths, and spas. But also for campsites and schools. Solid core HPL panels are completely waterproof. Toilet partitions made of chipboard composite panels are ideal for installation in dry rooms such as office buildings, commercial buildings, doctors' offices, sports centers, etc.

Floor-to-ceiling toilet partitions guarantee maximum privacy for toilet users and meet the desire of many visitors to public and semi-public sanitary facilities for a private area. Doors, walls, and partitions are closed from floor to ceiling. Users have their own enclosed area to themselves. Our products are manufactured to customer specifications. “Can't be done” is not in our vocabulary. Are there minimum order quantities?

No, there are no minimum order quantities. We manufacture both individual systems and large-scale projects.

Question 21

How does the ordering process work?

Accepted Answer

Once we receive your request, we will prepare a customized quote tailored to your requirements. Once you place your order, one of our factory representatives operating throughout Germany will contact you to take measurements on site. We will then prepare a technical drawing of the toilet partition system. Once you approve the drawing, we will start production. Installation will then be carried out by our specialist staff or by your own specialists.

What does “flush-mounted” mean in relation to toilet partitions?

Flush-mounted toilet partitions have fronts that are aligned without any protruding profiles. This not only creates an attractive, uniform appearance, but also makes cleaning much easier.

At what height are wall-mounted privacy screens installed?

Accepted Answer

We recommend: centered between the urinals, with the top edge of the privacy screen at approx. 1,400 mm. If possible, the round plates should be arranged so that they sit on a tile joint. This reduces the risk of tile breakage and contributes to a more attractive appearance. Particular attention must be paid to structural conditions (tile mirrors, tile joints, upper edges of partition walls, etc.) to the privacy screens

Depending on the type of system, heights of up to 2750 mm are possible without an attachment. Even greater heights can be achieved with an attachment.
